CREPS Bordeaux, with you at the heart of the region

Supporting athletes

At the service of well-being and living together

and sporting excellence

Athletic performance, successful academic and socio-professional projects, civic fulfillment and well-being: this is how we describe the life project of CREPS athletes.

To achieve this, the CREPS has set up :

1. Supporting performance

The CREPS supports and assists athletes and trainers in many areas related to sports performance:

  • physical preparation
  • assessment
  • recovery
  • video analysis
  • ongoing professional development for trainers
  • mental preparation
  • nutrition
  • connected tools and data processing
  • applied research

I accompany athletes and trainers in the field, as close as possible to their activity.

From preventive athletics to high performance, at the heart of my activity is taking into account the individual and the sports project he shares with his coach.

It’s the combination of technical and human skills that makes these collaborations so successful.

Discover our timetables

Thanks to a close and efficient collaboration between the CREPS and its partner educational establishments, each athlete benefits from a flexible timetable which allows for training time. Depending on the discipline, 10 to 15 hours a week are set aside for the sports project.

The presence of a complete, specialized medical and paramedical team ensures fast, efficient care, as close to the field as possible.

The sports facilities are designed, renovated and maintained to offer optimum training conditions for athletes and coaches (quality materials, video equipment, international dimensions, specific equipment, etc.).

In a busy schedule, the close proximity of training, education, healthcare, accommodation and catering facilities optimizes travel time for athletes. They can be on foot or by bike in less than 10 minutes.

2. A successful educational and socio-professional project

The aim of CREPS support is to complement the work of the teaching teams during extracurricular activities. This takes the form of tutored or supervised studies, as well as room studies managed by the supervisors.

Group and individual workshops are organized according to subjects and requests. These measures contribute to the high success rate of CREPS athletes in their exams.

Sportsmen and women are also offered specific support in finding internships, help in preparing for end-of-year exams, career guidance with a wide choice of training courses in the immediate vicinity of the CREPS, and post-baccalaureate support.

3. Supporting athletes’ personal development and well-being

The team in charge of day-to-day life and boarding facilities helps young sportsmen and women to achieve their full potential as citizens. Throughout the year, it organizes activities and civic projects, as well as actions to combat hazing and prevent risky behavior. The layout and operation of the boarding and catering facilities also aim to promote the well-being and recuperation of athletes.

The medical and paramedical staff (doctor, nurse, psychologist, dietician) meet the young people’s daily care and support needs, both physical and psychological.

16 people in various departments (the high-level department, the medical and assessment service, the reception, maintenance and programming service) work with athletes and coaches every day to achieve these objectives and provide the optimum environment and conditions for their success.
