PHYSICAL PREPARATION WITH LAURENT CHARDARD AND HISCOLLEAGUES AT EIFFAGE

On February 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Laurent Chardard, engineer at Eiffage Energies Système and Paralympic medal-winning swimmer, invited his colleagues to a physical preparation session at the CREPS in Bordeaux. The initiative, supported by the Maison Régionale de la Performance de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, aimed to introduce them to his daily life, combining the world of work and sport.

A typical day between sport and work

Thanks to a flexible schedule, Laurent begins his days with intensive swimming and physical preparation training at the CREPS in Bordeaux, followed by his professional responsibilities at Eiffage in the afternoon. This organization, made possible by the signing of a Convention d’Insertion Professionnelle between the Federation, Eiffage Energies Système and AnS, and coordinated by the Maison Régionale de la Performance, illustrates the successful integration of a top-level athlete into professional life.

Sharing experience with Eiffage colleagues

At the February 3 session, Laurent shared with his colleagues the challenges and rewards of his double life between top-level sport and professional career. Participants discovered his training routine through muscle strengthening exercises, swimming techniques and recovery strategies.

Beyond the sporting aspect, this session was a real moment of conviviality. Between inspiring exchanges and physical effort, the Eiffage colleagues left with valuable advice, a concrete insight into the daily life of a top-level athlete… and perhaps a few aches and pains to remember! When’s the next session?
