A look back at Olympic and Paralympic Week<\/h1>\n

As every year, the CREPS Bordeaux<\/a><\/strong> took part in Olympic and Paralympic Week<\/strong> from April 3 to 8, 2023.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What is SOP?<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

With Olympic and Paralympic Week, the French Ministry of Education and Youth<\/a> and Paris 2024 – Organizing Committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games<\/a>, dedicate one week a year to promoting sport among young people and mobilizing the educational community around civic and sporting values.
<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s a key moment to awaken students to the benefits of sporting activities. For this 7th edition, the theme chosen was inclusion<\/a><\/strong>. <\/span>Every year, thousands of students discover the joys of sport andOlympism<\/a> thanks to this week. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

What happened at CREPS Bordeaux?<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

With Paris 2024 less than 500 days away, the Comit\u00e9 R\u00e9gional Olympique et Sportif Nouvelle-Aquitaine CROSNAQ<\/a> and the CREPS de Bordeaux<\/a> wanted to put together a joint program and welcomed more than a hundred schoolchildren from all over the department.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the program: conferences, exchanges, sports practice and initiation.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Monday, students had the opportunity to talk to two disabled sportsmen and women: Titouan Grippon-LaMotte<\/strong>, wheelchair basketball athlete, and Nathan Maillet<\/strong>, disabled swimming champion . <\/a><\/span>This was an opportunity to change attitudes about disability and sports for people with disabilities.
<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the week, the children were able to talk about Olympism with great champions such as Gr\u00e9gory MALLET<\/strong><\/a>Olympic medallist in swimming, and Karima MEDJEDED<\/strong><\/a>para-judo champion. <\/span><\/p>\n

Activities introduced our young athletes to American soccer, wheelchair basketball, badminton, judo, capoeira, rollerblading and more. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
